First song for February Album Writing Month 2025. Tried to write a song that sounds as different from my normal stuff as possible.

I feel like I might have just lost the plot 
Is it just me or is it feeling sorta hot 

One of these days the nights will feel warm and welcoming

but not cold and I’ll be thankful it’s not 
I’ll forget what it feels like to be forgot 
I won’t feel like I’m just clinging to what’s left of the plot 

One of these days warm winds will rush and thrash and crash into Spring 
One of these days will arrive on a robin’s wing 
The dark times will end tidied up into a knot 
One more year’s done, door closed, thanks a lot 
Hopefully this next year will have a different plot
