Solid Steel (14th July) Ben Sims is our guest in Hour 1, a producer and DJ who has over two decades of experience in the music industry, over 50 original productions and various labels under his belt. He has also remixed some of Detroit's finest and has a club night cofounded with Kirk Degiorgio. He told us;
"The Solid Steel show and Coldcut in general have been a huge influence and inspiration over the years, they certainly played a big part in shaping and informing my wide ranging tastes in black dance music and (throughout the 90’s especially), i religiously recorded their shows on tape to chase down the records they dropped, so it’s a great honour to be invited on the show to do a guest mix. The next 60 mins features many of the cuts that are getting heavy play from me in my Techno sets right now, lots of favourite labels and trusty artists plus some killer unreleased, forthcoming material.
It was recorded in one take at my studio in Hackney early July on 3 x Pioneer CDJ2000’s and a Pioneer DJM 900 mixer and is typical of my current sets, intense, energetic and fast paced. Hope you like it! "

Kwartz is an artists from Spain based in Berlin aka Force Reaction a new project with Kaiser.
In late 2013 Kwartz joined PoleGroup and became part of the booking roster of the label commanded by Oscar Mulero.
He has his own label: Order&Devotion, where you will find dark atmospheres and deep and visceral sounds, all surrounded by rhythms designed for the dance floor.
