We are super excited to present the 81st podcast featuring an hour of full-throttle grooves from Mikrotakt!

Sacha Treasure aka Mikrotakt is a London native who grew up in the deep forest of Sweden - This raw groove dealer has already released on the likes of Cantical Records, Catalog 01366, Trau-ma and the aforementioned DifferentSound. With more big releases planned for the rest of the year, there's no sign of slowing down.

From the age of 14 Sacha has been learning his way around DAWs and electronic music, experimenting with old school hip hop. Coming from a very musical background his family encouraged creativity - Learning many instruments throughout his childhood from violin to piano.

Sacha later fell in love with the underground rave scene and the sound of Techno. Since then he has gotten involved where he can and developed his sound.

Mikrotakt can be identified as raw, percussive and groovy. His hybrid sets deliver pounding rhythms full of energy.

As usual, turn up the volume and enjoy the mix!

Now in its 200th instalment, this Podcast has given voice to a diverse offering of global talents across the musical spectrum, from the democratic rhythms of zeitgeist appropriate techno and house through to more avant-garde synthwork.

This next guest has cast a large shadow over the technosphere, so large in fact, that no introduction could fully encompass the breadth of his achievements. But in brief: Ben Klock is a titan whose formative years were spent playing marathon mixes to the crowds at Berlin’s (then recently opened) Berghain. Atsushi Maeda’s a name that’s been making ripples in Japan and beyond for over a decade, diligent behind decks and intimately connected with the Tokyo scene and its usual roster of clubs past and present (Contact, rural festival, et al.). He’s the founder of party series addictedloop as well as Rural, a festival that’s invited a crowd out for a summer escape each year for the past 16, including some formidable names in the techno field (excuse the pun) such as Jane Fitz, Wata Igarashi, DJ Nobu, GAS, Higher Intelligence Agency, DjRUM and more. The Italian artist consciously features elements from contrasting music scenes achieving notable results which may fit several environments, but are engineered for the dance floor.
