House mainstay Sidney Charles brings his unique house grooves to the PIV label with new four track EP, Hip Cracker. 

Sidney Charles has mastered the art of high impact house music that comes with a signature sense of depth, melody and groove. That unique style has made the Hamburg-born DJ, producer and label boss one of the underground's most prominent names: last year was his busiest ever with multiple chart-topping releases, high profile support from Radio 1 and standout gigs across the world. 

The title track kicks off with tightly programmed beats full of swing and spaced out chords that take it into the future. Liquid State then layers up the percussion, whistles and bobbling beats into a deriving cut with a hint of US garage swagger and Never Surrender takes off on super slick and smooth electronic house beats. Neon pads bring cosmic warmth and melodies bubble up and down the scale next to great vocal samples that add a soulful touch. Last of all, Beyond The Horizon is another infectious groove with punchy drum work and masterfully designed leads that bring futuristic feels. 

This is another essential outing from the tastemaking Sidney Charles on red hot label PIV.

This months Artist is DJ and Producer - Burnie.
Originating from London, he aims to bring his sick blends and riddims to his tracks.

Burnie boasts being the founder and owner of GroovesDaily, a TikTok page showcasing the latest house bangers, with a following of over 8000 followers.

Burnie has played with the likes of Secondcity, Jerome Six as well as holding a residency with Audio Grooves.

Burnie starts us off with 30 minutes of heat, followed by myself for another 30.
