It’s Mental Health Month here in Australia. And today we’re looking at depression in sport. I sat down with former AFL footballer Lance Picioane who has recently opened up about his experience as a professional athlete in the spotlight who was also battling his own demons behind the scenes.

Lance’s journey saw the talented sportsman hit rock-bottom, overcome substance abuse and deal with the shock of almost losing a leg, before resolving his own mental health in the process. This is his story.
