I believe in the mind-body connection!  I knew my recent back pain was likely more about all the stuff going on inside my head than a real physical problem.  So, I journaled it out, little by little writing down the sadness, feeling of helplessness, etc. I feel much better now. :-)

Just like you, I have gained consolation, wisdom, awe, sadness, memories, friends, lovers and every other human emotion through music. I occasionally dream music. 
I have a wide  appreciation of many genres from the ages  ...and get an urge to create music occasionally, inspired by these varieties.
