Lyrically, "Stars Collide" takes inspiration from the revelation that Arsi, one of the four Mark Harmony members, made during his first ever visit to his homeland of the Marshall Islands. He describes the connection between how coming back home was as profound and transformative as two cosmic stars colliding in the vast expanse of the universe. Carnie represents the voice of the islands themselves as her lyrics delves into the notion that sometimes, the universe seems to conspire to bring two souls together, and when they finally meet, magic is inevitable. As most islanders coming back home can relate, it's like the stars themselves are aligning. 

Musically, "Stars Collide" features soaring melodies, lush harmonies, and a dynamic arrangement that builds to a powerful climax. The vocal performances of both Arsi and Carnie showcase their emotive depth and ability to convey both vulnerability and strength through their singing.
