The rumour about the tragic death of the professor, which was skillfully started in case of emergency, has quickly found its way to the headlines of the respectful press. This misinformation will allow one to lie low, and an abandoned manor in a spatial crevice will serve as a secluded and safe place.

Plugging in another flash disk, the professor dived into the endless labyrinths of mind. Moving through the foggy streets of Chinatown, he scrutinized even the most insignificant details. Once in a narrow alleyway, a lamppost came into view, on which there was glued, among many others, an old advertisement: "Implement an idea into an individual's mind through dreaming." Spacelunch disconnected from the neural processor that same moment and cried: "This is it!" Now they knew exactly what to do next.

The atmosphere in the private hangar of Spaceport 15 was lively. Under the watchful eye of armed guards, the figures in black jumpsuits were telepathically boarding crates onto the cargo ship. No one even suspected that two uninvited guests were patiently waiting for the right time in the upper levels of the ventilation shaft. As soon as the moment came, they jumped onto the floor and hid behind a stack of military cases. "We need to find the emergency airlock," Spacelunch said in a muffled voice. Cat nodded affirmatively.

Agilely sneaking through the arrays of containers, they stealthily made their way onto the deck. An inconspicuous door with a built-in security system was the last obstacle. After they successfully entered the access codes, the door gently slid open, inviting them to enter a dimly lit, spacious cabin.

After a short while, the countdown began. The ship came into motion and slowly headed out into open space following the predetermined trajectory. Watching the distant planet, the partners were realising the neatness of the executed part of the plan. Now their way led them to the corporal's secret base.

The ship smoothly passed through the protective field and docked on the landing pad. The vast complex, surrounded by a wasteland of mangled metal and scorched soil, was guarded by a multitude of faceless soldiers. The angular spires of watchtowers rose ominously and pierced the sky like the sharp teeth of an ancient leviathan. At the top was the command centre filled with rows of flickering monitors full of a staggering amount of data and records. Technicians bustled about to keep all systems and equipment running as normal.

As the cargo airlock opened, the mercenaries began moving crates and containers onto the pallet of a levitating forklift. Using holographic cloaks, the friends easily passed the guards and proceeded deep into the corridors and staircases. Around some corner, the laboratory space opened up in front of them, packed with shiny machinery and mysterious equipment. The sharp odour of ozone and rot permeated the air, and the operating tables were covered with the remains of failed experiments. A new generation prototype of a mutant soldier, a synthesis of mechanical enhancements and biomanipulation capable of conquering and exterminating entire planets, stared lifelessly from the platform in the centre of the room. Tubes and wires looped around its body, plugged into ports and connectors embedded in its flesh.

– Strange things have happened here.
– Definitely, Cat. If they complete this freak and start production, the world as we know it will end.
– We must do something to prevent that!
– Good thinking. Let's blow this damn place up!

On the summit of the Astral Cliff there was the long-forgotten DP-6 shuttlecraft of the Kwansi pirates. Corrosion on the hull plating had almost completely taken over the paint, which only occasionally peeked through between dense clusters of fluorescent bryophytes. The vines and wires dangling from the stern provided a perfect living dome for the lively Sivinerian millipedes goofing around on the runes engraved on the ship. The sweet scent of exotic flora created an ethereal glow. A giant stingray floated gracefully across the celestial kaleidoscope. Each flap of its shining wings gave the impression of time slowing down. One could be absorbed by this grace and lightness for hours, immersing oneself in the world of aesthetics and harmony that ufolded before the observers’ eyes while they were enveloped in the calming embrace of the gravitational massage chairs.

– Sea Devil – what an appropriate name for such a majestic creature.
– That's right, Cat... A true manifestation of multielements in all their splendour!

The hypermarket exhibited bioengineering brilliance and cosmic craftsmanship housed under a huge crystal dome shimmering with reflections of nearby celestial bodies. This retail colossus was not just a place to shop, but a living and breathing ecosystem where even food and drink possessed intelligence and personality, turning the everyday grocery shopping trip into an adventure.

Having walked through the automated portals, visitors immediately entered a vibrant, bustling atmosphere filled with mixed aromas of diverse culinary produce, each hinting at exotic and extraordinary flavours. Pieces of cheese joked about fermentation processes and their origins. Soda cans sizzled playfully, discussing the intricacies of soft drinks and the secrets of mixology. Loaves of bread argued about baking temperatures and yeast culture. Juice packets from every fruit and vegetable imaginable told tales of distant gardens and farms, and wine bottles told stories of ancient vineyards and legendary harvests.

As Spacelunch reached for his favourite Cinerian mead, a familiar voice sounded behind him:
– Have I lived long enough to see the day when the curly-headed man who broke my nose showed up again?

The professor turned around and was surprised to see an old friend in front of him.

– Nomad? Is it really you?! What brings you here?
– As always a thirst for adventure and a desire to solve mysteries. I've heard a lot about this place and just couldn't miss the chance to see it with my own eyes. On top of that, I followed the rumours that say the key to absolute life force is hidden here.
– Absolute life force? – Spacelunch asked with obvious interest, raising an eyebrow. – Are you hunting for legendary artefacts again?
– It's an elixir created by ancient gastronomes. It provides unprecedented energy and longevity. It is said to be guarded by a powerful force. By the way, – Nomad squinted, – your bioengineering knowledge could speed up the search considerably. And remember, you owe me one.
– Not that I'm very eager, but Spacelunch always pays debts back!
– Now you’re talking! Follow me.

There’s a big reason to celebrate, as we face the 150th release on Cocoon Recordings! That’s right, 150 prime cuts with a number of milestones. It’s hard to single out any one for particular praise but even so, we still have something very special planned for the anniversary. With a certain affection, we wanted to present an artist from the region so it’s with great pleasure that we can unveil “Countach” from the one and only Butch, as a more than worthy anniversary release. The native Mainzer and sometime Berliner is without doubt one of the most dazzling German Tech-House artists of the moment. His performances contain a full dose of funkiness and his self-made promo videos never fail to entertain, providing a lot of fun in the process. First and foremost though, Butch is an exceptional producer, who, as one of the chosen few, knows how to mix together those special ingredients that drag us onto the dance floor again and again. What’s more, since we really have something to celebrate, we don’t just have an original from Butch, it’s accompanied by a remix from none other than Kölsch!

If the term "man of the moment" applies to any artist then it’s got to be Kölsch! At least that’s true when it comes to hypnotic techno with a subtle yet seductive touch of trance. Kölsch is currently operating on another level. Whatever he touches turns to gold, turns moments on the dance floor into unforgettable experiences to be written down in the annals of techno.
His Kompakt release "Cassiopeia", as well as his remixes including the Chemical Brothers, stand out as musical testimonies of the past two years. The series of musical landmarks from the house of Kölsch is endless and his remix of Butch’s "Countach" is no exception!

With poise and purpose like the Lamborghini of the same name, Kölsch takes us on an epic journey with his remix here, but as things progress he still has the foresight to jams on the brakes, keeping the dance floor honest by slowing things down to cruise control for the middle of his ride. What a trip, a true adventure, a techno road movie that could only come from Kölsch!
Of course, after a remix like that, there’s not much left to say but this is techno and our man Butch is anything but normal! He just knows instinctively how to bring things to the boil and demonstrates it very impressively again on his original version. Implementing a ‘nasty’ arpeggio line that captivates us before being hunted down by a prime-time filter, Butch summons up an acid monster that works without a 303 but is no less effective. If that’s not enough Butch also proves himself a master of ecstatic dance during the closing sections, serving up an emotional string arrangement that glimmers and shines. As a result, “Countach” with his nice fat strings becomes an instant dance floor catcher.

It’ll probably be very difficult to pick a favourite from these two mixes, which makes this cut even fatter! It’s a great release brimming with pathos and full-on emotions.

As Fabrice Lig has contributed to the Kanzleramt-History – we are returning the favour and congratulate with this release to his 25th Stage-Anniversary!
Black Stone is taken from ‘Universal Tech EP’ of 2003 (ka089 12″ | digi). Its powerful sequence was always considered as one of the best ever to be exposed on Kanzleramt. So more than deserving and about damn time 3 new Black Stones emerge: polished into an epic set-starter or the jet-black time-lapsed grinding and compressing in the earth’s crust or raw acid washed. Heiko leaves the choice to you.
