When you’re down, they say that one of the best ways to feel better about your situation is to stop where you stand, and find someone you can help. Paradoxically, when you feel that you are your poorest, give some of your money away. When you feel no one is listening to you, listen to other people. The universe has a strange way when it comes to things like this, and The Bearded Man tried it out for himself one day. He was concerned about how he was going to pay for his hostel that week, and he only had $10 to his name. There was a beggar outside of his hostel, and he decided he’d give $2 of it to the beggar just to see what happened. Nothing. Well, he certainly felt better about himself for helping someone in need, but the universe didn’t pay him back just then. Now he only had $8 left. What now? Unsure of whether or not anyone would employ him, he started walking the streets, thinking about how to get money. Suddenly, a mugger jumped out from around the corner with a knife. He asked for all The Bearded Man’s money. When the mugger saw that he only had $8, he said: “You know what? It’s not even worth it.” We’ll never know whether the mugger would have taken the original $10 bill, but one thing’s for sure — the less you have, the less you have to lose. When The Bearded Man made his first million a few years later, he wondered if he’d really learned anything at all from the experience.

Anjundeep present the second EP in the newly founded ‘Explorations’ series showcasing four fresh faces to the label in Amateur Dance, Luttrell, Tontario and Gacha Bakradze.

Opening the EP, upcoming Melbourne based producer, Amateur Dance, with ‘You Give Me Butterflies’; making his Anjunadeep debut earlier this year with a highly rated remix of Way Out West’s ‘Tuesday Maybe’.

Next up, Luttrell ‘Away', giving a taste of his first solo project on the label while taking a moment from notable Stateside success as part of California duo The M Machine.

Tontario, a young Finnish producer from Vaasa, has been making waves in recent months in the blog world with his signature melodic sound, as shown on ‘Late’.

Rounding off the EP with ‘Girl’, talented Georgian producer Gacha Bakradze. While releasing under three different aliases, Gacha has built an impressive back catalog with albums on the iconic Apollo Records and most recently a well received EP on Andre Lodemann’s Best Works Recs with support from BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac.

This is probably the most experimental and uptempo track on the EP.  Big band, 80's space synths, ringshifter effects, gospel lyrics.  I took some risks with the production on this track and i hope it paid off.  Really like the opening minute with the hip hop beat coming in and the final eq slides to give in that "crunched" ending.  Enjoy.
