Lil Tweak GMB, born and raised in Paterson, NJ is a rapper who is able to channel the negative energy in his environment and turn it into an art form. Raised in Paterson which is known for its rampant crime and violence Tweak’s lyrics and delivery were influenced by the pain of the area. Some of his greatest records were recorded when his mental health was in question. The anxiety and pressure of the streets bred an unstable home life, with his Mother passing at the age of 2 and Father serving life, Tweak transitioned in and out of youth homes, detention centers, and endured shocking abuse in foster care for the majority of his earlier years. After moving to Passaic, NJ and getting more heavily involved in the street culture as a drop out, Tweak began to realize his circle was only around for their benefit at his expense. Realizing the situation would never improve, Tweak began doubling back with a series of different releases as a way to stamp himself as one of the greatest MCs to do it. He knew this would be his one way ticket out of the hood.
