Dave Samuel Pike was a legendary Jazz vibraphone and marimba player.He made his debut with The Paul Bley Quartet in 1958 and he never looked back. After his collab with Herbie Mann his music became more exploratory, contributing a unique voice and new contexts that pushed the envelope in times remembered for their exploratory nature. In 1969 he formed the Dave Pike Set and he recorded 6 albums.  Dave Pike Set's sound apart, organically incorporating influences from jazz, soul jazz, psychedelia, avant-garde music, and World music. Their "Mathar" track is a timeless piece of World-Jazz excellence and Jack Essek adds the cherry on the top for another top-class Electronica/World flavoured edit
