This song was inspired by TheCrafsMan SteadyCraftin on YouTube. His videos are calm and even though they don't usually have music in them, this is the music that I associate with the channel. It was slightly based on the video he made about the few songs that he did do for the channel. 

I was originally going to make the image that goes along with this and use it as an album cover, but this paint.net mouse drawing that I made of my bathroom will do for now. The current artwork was inspired by Home Movies from adult swim and Vewn on YouTube. Mostly Vewn.

Rocksteady Craftin (Crabbses)

7/4ths time signature with an alternating division of (3,4) and (4,3). Made after finding a chord that sounds like part of a Boards of Canada chord progression. (And you cant tell because it was recorded so badly!)

Orange Hexagon County

11/16th time with a division of (5,6) with a division of ((2,3),(2,4)). Music is math! Made after listening to several midwest emo playlists.

Florida Humidity

I made a drum machine and it's spread across 2 breadboards. It's far from perfect. 

I made it possible to sync my MS-20 mini's  SQ-1 sequencer to the drum machine sequencer. The sync is far from perfect. 

I borrowed a Zoom H4 recorder from my school and found a way to record my setup by having it all run into a bass amp that doubles as a makeshift mixer. The setup is far from perfect. 

There were several issues recording, one being that the headphones out on the recorder was slightly broken and unreliable when it came to levels, so I could barely hear the bass drum and the closed hi-hat. The levels are far from perfect. 

But I love the way this sounds. It's several years of work on my drum machine finally recorded. The next step is to make circuitboards for it and make it stable. Then I could clear the breadboard and work on making my own counting sequencer for the MS-20, and a small acid synth that I have ideas for. That would be perfect.

The image is a screenshot of something that was made in processing. It's a visualizer of a math equation; specifically this one-

Slow Burn Space Acid

Digitakt. The compressor works. Cool. I think the recorder might have messed up the sound a bit because it sounds different on the computer than it did when recording. It's kind of a long recording, so I'm going to re-record it later and take this one down or private it or something. It was good for the first 5-7 minutes, and then it kind of just started to fall apart. I accidentally deleted one of the important tracks mid recording and that's where it fell apart, so maybe next time I won't do that, or I will because I'm me. It was the part where there was silence and a stutter in the beat that happened a few more times in the next 10-15 seconds after. That was me, panicking and desperately trying to figure out if what I had done was redeemable or even recoverable. I'll get it together next time. It's probably not even that bad, I just know what I was trying to do and it wasn't that, so it bothers me.

I made this for a small video game that I probably won't ever finish or release. But the game is called townsfolk as of right now, and I'm still learning tile mapping. So yeah, that's where we are. Here's the song for town 1!

I made this over summer in a dorm room after not making any chiptune music for about a year. FamiTracker is good. I'm going to use this or some version of this in a game at some point.

A Beautiful Hazy Place

I like the Mega Man games' soundtracks, but I always think the music has more potential to be better. This mostly goes for the earlier games, and the Mega Man X soundtrack is great, but it also suffers from that SNES midi soundfont sound. This was my attempt at making it suffer from that 'overdone Genesis' sound. I might post a longer version later. Here's this for now. I'll make a better picture for the cover tomorrow. here's that for now.

Storm Eagle (Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Cover)
