“Robert Faith" is a Singer/Songwriter based in Brixham, Devon where he lives with his young family.
 
Born Robert Andrew in Brixham, Devon, Robert was a child of the 80’s and was regularly exposed to the timeless classics of the era; from the exciting birth of the synthesiser to the unforgettable hooks of the time. It would however be the progressive, experimental and sometimes rebellious sounds of the 90’s that would ignite Robert’s passion for songwriting.  Heavily influenced by watching live music performed by the likes of James, the Wonderstuff and the Levellers, he picked up a guitar as a teenager and from the moment he could play his first chord, he had a passion for writing his own songs. Battling for many years with depression and anxiety, Rob would find solace in his song writing and guitar playing, however a prevailing lack of self confidence would always prevent him from performing his material to others. He would very occasionally jam with other musicians, but Robert would prefer to work alone and achieve the “band” sound through multi track home recording.
Robert managed to get a break in 2001, when following redundancy, he was able to concentrate on song writing and recording, whilst still maintaining a roof over his head. He started, yet never completed a number of promising songs and received some high acclaim for his work.
 
Robert gave up song writing in his early 20’s and settled for the 9-5 lifestyle. It would be nearly 15 years, when Robert, now married with children and in his mid 30’s that he would eventually rekindle his love for making music. The arrival of his two daughters reminded him so much of how magical music had seemed to him when he was a child and he wanted his children to have the same experience as he had.
 
Finally, after many years working as a Manager for a very successful and highly ethical local food company, suddenly it wasn’t money and stature that he wanted anymore. Money fuelled his consumerism and work just acted as a distraction from the things in life that really mattered to him. Time was the only currency he wanted now. Time to spend with his family, especially his two daughters, the oldest of which, despite his best efforts to be as “involved” as possible as a father, had grown up so quickly and whose life he had missed so much of; from watching her ride a bike for the first time, to picking her up from school and having her excitedly run into his arms at home time. It was now time to put the balance right. He resigned from his job, initially to take a year out to spend with his youngest daughter before she started school.
 
Now, with both children at school, Robert is armed with time, life experience and even more songs than ever and he is determined to share his music with the rest of the world….
Uninterested in personal gain, Robert's dream is to help local people in his home town of Brixham to own their own property to live in. Too often they are losing out to second home owners, or being financially and socially crippled by landlords. To help them own their own home will help keep families together, help develop a sense of local community, as well as and most importantly preserving the natural beauty of the local area by reducing the need for new housing
