Song From A Secret Garden

Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet, composed by Nino Rota for Franco Zeffirelli's film in 1968. The song based on this theme is called "What Is A Youth" in the album.

This has been covered so many times, as an instrumental by Henry Mancini in 1969, and as a song called "A Time For Us" by numerous artists. Lana Del Rey also did a very nice cover with a different chorus called "Old Money" in her album "Ultraviolence".

The instrument is a Kawai VPC1 controlling a Nord Stage 2, using a Bösendorfer sampled grand piano with some delay effect, sampled mandola and orchestra strings.

I was just practicing tonight and felt like recording one of the pieces.  Beethoven's Sonata No. 14 in C# minor Op. 27 No. 2, or otherwise known as 'Quasi una fantasia' or the 'Moonlight Sonata'.  I recorded this on a Steinway D and mastered it in my mastering studio www.alpinemastering.com

This is a new modern version of Halvorsen's arrangement for Handel's Passacaglia. It's like water. You never get bored of it. Also, it is like a life circle that demonstrates happy and sad moments of it from time to time. Every time I play it, I feel a different kind of emotion.

The colours of music is a work that you will see different interpretations about classical and modern piano pieces every two or three weeks. It is so exciting to learn and play these beautiful pieces and share with you. Thank you very much already now. :)
