There is a place

There is a hush beneath each heartbeat,
where the body sings its song.
A living stream between pulses,
where the deeper work is done.
A space between the sparks,
where silent currents carry thought
in each and every moment -
yet quietly unseen

We speak of wonder
and forget the quiet ache
in the seed
breaking open underground.
We speak of light
and miss the love
that births it
into kindness
and sanctifies the everyday with grace.
We speak of day, 
but not the night
that held it in the womb.
Yet all things bright
are rooted in the dark.

The soil does not shout its needful work
but cradles the seed in tender care,
lending the strength of Earth itself —

a softly breathed lullaby of love.

The root... does not the blooming do,
but grips the ground with all its being,
searching, drinking,
clinging to life with invisible devotion,
tenacious but tenderest of all.

The womb does not proclaim its miracle
but bears the silence of waiting,
nourishing with blood and warmth,
holding heartbeat to heartbeat
until at last - 
the fullness comes.

These signs of deeper presence 
hold the mystery of becoming,
hold the hush that labours faithfully
bringing formless into form.

The pause between the breaths of life,
where the soul begins to speak,
invites us, you and I, to simply be -
not better, louder, ever greater,
but to bear the hidden flame,
to yield like soil beneath the sacred seed.

Then holding, nourishing,
becoming by allowing,
we bear the weight with quiet trust and grace,
and all the while,
through stretch and stir
the unseen swell of life will rise
to meet the day
and step into the light.

In a thousand prayers you’ll never hear,
In a thousand hands that plant,
In this quiet holding
and unseen love,
in this ancient trust and hope,
old systems tremble,
and old names fade.
and many things fall apart,
and all the while -
yes, all the while -

something greater
is on its way;
some vastness
is coming 
together.
Already it is happening.
Not someday,
not some time,
but Now.
