From the prolific mind of Turkish maestro, Erdi Irmak, 2014's "We Won't Sleep Tonight" EP for Intemporal Music illustrated why the Istanbul resident has been so sought after through a swathe of original production material. As "The Hit" now receives its own release on Yin : Yang, a pair of new remixes from Argentina and Hungary make their own contribution.

From the western side of the bustling Buenos Aries metropolis, N'Pot is a producer with a successful 2016 under his belt. His music "characterised by a dark progressive style", the Argentinean has continued to make waves in the underground dance scene. Furthermore, music signed to Stellar Fountain, 238W and Balkan Connection, has seen support come from such celebrated quarters as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Lonya.

Reworking Erdi Irmak's techno inspired track, the N'Pot remix follows a more leisurely pace than the original with lilting percussive groove and subterranean bass pattern. Rich melodic phrases, white noise effects and vocal cut swirl across the stereo spectrum in delayed and reverb-drenched glory, reaching their zenith at breakdown end, before rhythm and bass combine once more in the latter stages to hypnotic effect.

Bedouin is the Brooklyn-based production and DJ partnership between nomads Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki. Bringing their unique spell of melodies and rhythms to Crosstown Rebels, they deliver their cover version of the famous Pink Floyd classic, Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun. Guy Gerber also steps in to deliver a deeply mystical dance floor remix.

Sharing an eclectic sonic vision that pulls from diverse influences owing to their Middle Eastern heritage, Western upbringing, and world travels, here Bedouin deliver some of their best productions to date. “Getting the chance to play the song to Pink Floyd’s drummer Nick Mason personally and him liking it was very exciting for us. We're also happy to have the very talented and our good friend Guy Gerber to be the first ever to remix one of our tracks. The b-side, ‘Guacamole’, is an original track conceived in Mexico and made for the dance floor.”

In 2016, as well as touring the world extensively, Bedouin curated a compilation entitled Kindisch Stories and had the honour of recording an Essential Mix for Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show. 2017 saw the launch of their brand SAGA at Heart Ibiza, where they turn Ibiza Sundays into a mirage of musical odysseys. Guy Gerber also runs his highly successful Rumors party in Ibiza on Sundays, which takes the same name as his acclaimed record label.

The latest release by the Mexican avant-garde label Akumandra is founder Sainte Vie’s three track auditive voyage: From Desolate Places and Forgotten Times. Going beyond previous experimentation with sound assemblage and sampling from non-western musical traditions, Sainte Vie crafts his signature mesmerizing soundscapes by combining dreamlike synth textures, monumental drops and vibrant melodies that feel deeply melancholic. Insistent arpeggios and expansive build ups bind the tracks together in an ebb and flow of dynamic energy.

High Seas 
Overlaid synth patterns, like waves, propel us into a mixed-percussion drop that settles on a harmonic calm before another surge of synth arpeggios drive us farther along into the thrilling sensation of voyage.

Whale
Disembodied vocals, like cetaceans communicating, echo each other, creating a ghostly undercurrent to the vigorous percussion and futuristic synth arpeggios.

Darko
Backed by an eerie melody and punctuated by a lead-heavy bass drum, a deep, guttural voice plunges us into the dark flow of time.

Spectral in theme and profoundly engaged with the sensorial quality of music, Sainte Vie’s EP transports the listener to a place that feels distant like uncharted waters, yet familiar like a memory.

We composed this track to highlight the cry of distress from the jungle.
It was important for us to set this ecological emergency to music.
That’s why beyond the catchy and dancing side, solemnity and sadness emanate
from this track. Our animal totem is the Monkey and you will hear some of his cries. Human being are so close to him, we imagine the monkey as the jungle
spokesperson, trying to alert us when his home is dying…
We hope you will perceive these emotions, let’s all act together to save the animals, to save earth…

Cosmovision presents '' Animals of the Earth ''

The human race has lived and shared this space we call Earth with the animal kingdom for millions of years but today, most cultures have abandoned the idea that humans are animals like the others. Our modern societies have been treating Mother Earth as if it was their property, extracting resources, polluting constantly, changing the landscape, killing the other animals we and destroying its natural balance.

Since the Industrial Revolution, humanity has killed 83% of all wild mammals and half of all plants of the Earth. Two hundred species of living beings are going extinct every single day. We collectively need to change so many things in areas such as the use of plastic, meat consumption, contaminating energies, day to day overconsumption and more. How can artists raise awareness regarding this?

Thinking on how to be simple but at the same time Universal, Cosmovision Records presents ¨Animals of the Earth¨. For this project we have gathered to co-create an ecosystem that lives in a music album. Producers from many places on Earth explored their connections with our animal cousins, remembering that the condor, the rabbit, the deer, the frog and all the others are our partners in the long trip that this green and lively planet takes in the Universe.

We invite you to come with us on this journey through the musical ecosystem of the ¨Animals of the Earth¨ to discover, respect and care for these beautiful beings that live with us.

J’avais faim, les fruits du figuier n’étaient pas mûrs.
Moi qui avais tellement le désir de mordre dans une figue chaude de soleil, juteuse et sucrée, j’ai maudit l’arbre, je l’ai condamné à ne jamais porter de fruits.
Comment ai-je pu commettre une injustice pareille? Ce n’était pas la saison des figues.
Frustré dans ma gourmandise, j’ai laissé mon désir se transformer en colère.
La gourmandise est pourtant une très belle chose, il suffisait de la garder intacte, il suffisait de la garder intacte, de se dire que d’ici un ou deux mois, je pourrais la combler.
Je m’en étais vraiment pris à un innocent.
Me recueillir auprès de cet arbre, l’embrasser, lui demander pardon, et retrouver la paix intérieure.
