I Saw Three Ships

2020 was a crazy and unexpected year, to say the least. Personally, I had lost my weekly residency at River Grille and canceled a college tour including stops at Penn State University, Bloomsburg University, Wilkes University, King's College, and Misericordia University. Since the music and live entertainment industries were drastically impacted by the global pandemic, artists were forced to adapt and overcome. I began hosting Qlub Quarantine, live DJ sets on my Twitch channel, to stay engaged with my audience during this period of isolation. Even though these online live streams are enjoyable, they will never compare to the thrill of a concert experience. After realizing this, I knew that artists of all mediums had to be struggling without human engagement with their material. With this purpose in mind, I founded an art collective, Cross Valley Republic, to showcase the art/music/talent of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The region where I grew up needed an outlet for its fellow artisit to share their work and come together during this difficult time. Love, compassion, and togetherness are not only the reasons why we do what we do, but will lead us into a new age where anything is possible. Stay safe and enjoy the ride! ~ Nived 👽✌️💕
