His love of sound has given birth to Paraffin, a record label and event series pioneering the very best of Persian talent. Faced with a raft of government restrictions and foreign sanctions which would make many a promoter balk, passion is fuel to Fathi’s mission to bring people together. This is a studio recording of a recently performed Acid Live Set at "Weißer Hase" Berlin. It is a rough take and an homage to my first Acid Techno experiences from 1994-1995 in Berlin clubs like E-Werk, Praxis, Vereinsheims, Tresor or Exit, when some 303 machines and one 909 were enough to rule the night. I am still in love with this sound. 

Don't expect any fancy sound design :).

Command Control is an emerging London-based producer and DJ who released his first EP “Essence” earlier this year. The EP fuses his penchants for Detroit, Dub and UK Techno, with elements from all styles peppered across the release. The EP has been well received with a 10/10 rating awarded in FAZE magazine and early support from DJs Tasha, Blasha & Allatt, The Advent, Dave Clarke, Imogen and more.

FrixXxion 008: Command Control

Born in 1986, Darko Kolar is a Serbian electronic music artist. An electronic activist since his teenage years, music has always been his driving force. Before 2005, he collected techno, electro, breakbeat, and IDM records. You might recognize him as one half of Serbia’s industrial techno and rhythmic noise duo, Ontal, with Boris Brenecki. He also produces solo material as Katran and is part of Impulse Control with Brenecki and New York’s Blush Response.

Darko founded and runs the labels Jezgro and Ontal Series, both representing the darker and more experimental side of electronic music. Based in Subotica, Serbia, his career began in the mid-2000s, releasing material as Dekode on various record labels, alongside prominent artists like Si Begg, Silicon Scally and Radioactive Man. In 2011, he formed Ontal with Brenecki, releasing their debut EP, Output, on Darkfloor Sound. This led to numerous releases on labels like Ad Noiseam, HANDS, Overdraw, and Horo.

Parallel to Ontal, Darko developed his solo project, Katran, known for its dark and intense sound. In 2016, he launched the label Jezgro, debuting with Huren’s project MRTVI and followed by Japanese noise artist Merzbow. Jezgro focuses on the obscure, dark, and unstructured facets of electronic music, blending extreme and experimental genres like harsh noise, drone, industrial, rhythmic noise, and offbeat techno.

Hypnotic oud and saz riffs, tribal darbuka rhythms and cosmic synth layers weave together in a ceremonial dance of fire and desert night. Each track opens a portal between ancient desert traditions and futuristic psychedelic soundscapes, guiding the listener through ecstatic motion, mystic trance and radiant rebirth.
