@shdw-obscureshape launch new label 'Mutual Rytm' with a powerful eight-track V/A ‘Federation Of Rytm I’, featuring VIL & Cravo, Lars Huismann, Grindvik and more.

Favourites for many within today’s modern techno landscape, Stuttgart based pairing Marco Blasi and Luigi Urban, aka SHDW & Obscure Shape, continue to grow their profile and position as artists leading the current new wave of techno. Having launched their first label From Another Mind in 2014, releasing material from themselves alongside remixes from the likes of Rødhad, James Ruskin and Dax J, early December welcomes the arrival of a new project and a second imprint to the fold, Mutual Rytm.

Showcasing a new dimension of techno and electronic music, celebrating originality and innovation by combining timeless cuts from the past with cutting edge sounds of the present and the future, the new label will serve as a breeding ground for new artists alongside established talent and legends from the scene. Opening the imprint in style, the label bosses head up the first-ever release and the first V/A’ Federation Of Rytm I’ as they welcome a selection of new and established talent.

“Since the beginning of the global pandemic, we have been diving deep into the roots of our music and working on the aesthetics of our sound. That’s when we realised that now is the right time to start a new project which differs from FAM, in both musical and artistic direction.

The project will showcase a new dimension that aims to channel the authentic perspectives of both established and up-and-coming talents. With our new label, we want to give all artists the opportunity of musical freedom and expression of their versatility as producers. It is an honour to accompany the young artists on their careers, to see them grow and to help them in their development as musicians.” – SHDW & Obscure Shape.

Today, we premiere the track from Berlin-based techno DJ and producer Lars Huismann, as he enter the fray with the no-nonsense, snaking grooves with his ‘Hyper Dub’ track, already doing damage on dance-floors across Europe.

E-HRZN Records is excited to announce that Alberto Tolo will be taking control of our next release, titled the “Unprocessed EP,” which includes remixes by Andc and Palma. Alberto has quickly garnered attention as one of the hottest names in fast-paced, minimal techno and his four original tracks on this release exemplify the reasons why. The title track is pure contemporary techno: stripped down, jacking and hypnotic with a rhythmic swing which implores all hips on the dancefloor to shake. “Nacre” and “Workout 6” both take a bit of a deeper dive as Alberto paints a landscape with lush, iridescent synths cast over raw, groovy beats. Last, but certainly not least, “Analog Top” utilizes a latin-esque rhythm-and-groove ridden by stabbing chords to help carry the weight.

Both remixers utilize a unique and completely different perspective with their takes on the short album to give the release a dynamic range of sounds. Andc keeps the energy high and pushes the groove to maximum levels with his adaptation of the title track while Palma delivers a mental, deep, and hypnotic rework of “Nacre” with a breakdown which is nothing short of enrapturing.

Embark on a sonic journey with Danza Tribale's latest release, "Das Neue Elektronische Volkslied," an album born out of a relentless pursuit of cutting-edge, non-retrospective techno tracks.

The creative process, initiated in 2022, took a unique twist as it drew inspiration from live performances - raw, improvised moments fueled by the electric energy of the club atmosphere.

Tobias., the mastermind behind this musical odyssey, meticulously reproduced and evolved these spontaneous creations in his studio, crafting a seamless fusion of diverse elements. Seeking guidance on the ideal label for this innovative project, the artist turned to the talented Adiel. What transpired was beyond expectation.

Enchanted by the tracks, Adiel proposed something extraordinary - the birth of "Das Neue Elektronische Volkslied" on her label, Danza Tribale. In her words, the energy and dedication poured into the feedback reflected the label's commitment to pushing boundaries. It was an offer, Tobias. couldn't refuse, convinced that Danza Tribale was the perfect home for his musical creation.

Even Tobias. himself found it challenging to put the essence of "Das Neue Elektronische Volkslied" into words. In his enigmatic statement, he remarked, "In general, music is very difficult to describe because everyone feels something different; music speaks for itself and is only understood by those who speak the same universal language." He emphasised the album's title as a poignant nod to the cyclic nature of current club culture and a heartfelt homage to a true futurist.

Join us in embracing the avant-garde spirit of “Das Neue Elektronische Volkslied" as it marks a significant chapter in the evolution of techno music. 

The album consisting of 8 tracks will be available soon on Danza Tribale, it promises to redefine your perception of sound and rhythm.

A Strange Wedding kicks off the useless seconds catalog with 3 original tracks carefully produced and arranged to showcase his signature sound design at the cutting edge of futuristic techno-tribalism and minimalistic hi-fi trance.

First, Wormhole Breaker takes us on a journey through space and time, escaping furious psy-storms. Aqua Sourcing dives deep into space infrastructures, where resonating oily pipes made from an unknown alloy blend with the echoes of rusty excavating machinery drilling in search of precious liquid. Finally, Pressure comes as a restless ascending trip at full speed, reaching the climax of this hallucinatory journey through laminated space-time.

Wormhole Breaker re-emerges in two alternate realities, reshaped by Nadia Struiwigh and Patrick Russell. Nadia’s version is a mutating DnB roller designed to survive a hostile solar system, while Patrick’s distinctive rhythmic explorations make us swirl as if we were lost between those realities.
