Both from the Scottish Borders, Carly Blain (fiddle) and Graeme Armstrong (guitar and song) mix fast and energetic tunes with traditional and contemporary Scottish songs. Having grown up around the traditions of the Borders their set features much of the music they heard and played growing up. Both graduates of the Folk and Traditional Music Degree from Newcastle University, and having spent years touring in respective bands around the world (Monster Ceilidh Band, The Rachel Hamer Band, Reel time, Ideoms Theatre), they are excited to be back playing together. Their powerful and exciting set, mixing traditional and original tunes and songs, provides a captivating performance.
