Backdraft - Do Dis @trxjillobreakz Remix

Zeta Reticula (Uros Umek) is among the wide cream of today's atmospheric breaks and electro producers, carrying on strong with a career that he's kept steady since 2000. Since the mid-2010s, the Slovene star has hopped from label to label, signifying a restlessness that matches the writhing weight of his music. 'The Beryllium' is yet another EP to capture Reticula's preference for unrelent, commanding a unique sense of space and weight that flaunts a true sense of art. Listened to in one way, 'Need To Orbit', sounds like a functional acid jam, but its pitch-perfect use of reverb and EQ renders it gestalt, nearly convincing us that the track was direct-outputted from the aux port of an interplanetary war machine and not a stack of analog synths. On the other hand, the closing remix from Sound Synthesis is nice and cascading - gushing, sheathing sounds abounding - contrasting to Reticula's opting for judderings and impacts.

Dutch producer and DJ Orlando Voorn should need little introduction - he’s been making waves for around 30 years, providing some of the key audio building blocks for the bridge between Holland and Detroit back in the day and excelling at everything he touches. A true creative soul.

Whilst rooted in Techno, those who know his work will know he is a versatile producer who draws on a wide set of influences and a deep musical education. The Hunting Season EP provides three solid cuts that bear this point out, and in style.

The title tracks brings a ferocious groove, big warehouse beats and a skittish synth hook that’s sure to stimulate body and mind. Heading to track two, Quick Thinking, things get tougher with pounding drums and a pattern that blends Electro and broken Techno brilliantly as distorted atmospherics spin and build around your head. The EP closes with The Point of No Return, a mellower cut that brings Orlando’s Detroit connection and passion to the forefront.

Flekino, es un dj y productor nacido en Jaén. Desde una edad temprana, demostró un amor apasionado por la música breakbeat, un género que cautivó su corazón y moldeó su identidad artística. Con el paso del tiempo, su pasión lo llevó a explorar una variedad de estilos, incluyendo el  UK Garage y el Electro, fusionándose frecuentemente en sus sets.
Actualmente reside en Bristol, UK, donde es parte del colectivo Southside Breaks en el cual trabaja en la producción y desarrollo de eventos, así como la promoción del breakbeat en UK.
A lo largo de su carrera, Flekino ha lanzado sus creaciones a través de varios sellos, entre ellos Empire Of Music Records, 83 y Southside Breaks y compartido escenario con grandes artistas de la escena breakbeat mundial.
Actualmente está trabajando arduamente en el desarrollo de su sonido, preparando nuevas producciones que pronto verán la luz.

One Day

We went up to Manchester to record this track. It was the first time I had met Spyda and he came up by train that day. During the session I kept stopping him and asking him "to do it better, do it again, do it like this". He is a big bloke and I thought he would lump me one but he was cool and later said that I was the first person ever to keep pushing him for a better vocal. Most people didnt bother, maybe as they were afraid of such a monster of a bloke! Anyways, the session went well and we have been close mates with Spyda ever since.
