That Old Grey Dog And Me 

I take that old grey dog
up our favorite hill
we dont hunt no more probably never will
I got a stick now that I carry I set aside my gun
and he just walks along beside me
cause he cant run
		
Hey old boy when you look at me that way
Its gonna break my heart
more than I can say		
So we’ll look back on the good times
when you were runnin free…
I’m always gonna think about
that old grey dog and me


I know all good things must end
but Lord it's hard to say goodbye
to my best friend

Today I left that old grey dog
on our favorite hill 
Never cried so hard 
I’m cryin still
the whisper in the trees had said
you ain’t wrong for what you done
Cause he can walk again you should see him run
