I am releasing this project because its me starting out as a musical artist, also I lost all these songs on a hard drive that's why you'll be able to hear its rough its raw & uncut . This is me experimenting with sounds, my voice, different sonic transitions in the year 2016 when I started understanding how to structure and how to build songs, also how to push the emotion of a song I've been listening to these songs for many years and I felt like it was time to share them and I will be sharing more music that I have made throughout the years so that you can grow with me and see the diverse musical catalog that I have in store.

These are the tracks I recorded throughout the year 2017, This was a very significant year for my music and experiences. The intro starts off soft and mellow, and immediately goes into HTNWAS feat King Twickie, we were showing off our skills, and interpreting how hard it is to come up and blow up as an artist in the Cape Town music scene. The next song (Zanny) goes into a psychedelic trap, mellow transition describing late nights in the city and how some people are controlled and under the influence and for some reason when I hear this song I picture everything in slow-motion I could've also been drawn into that type of lifestyle but I preferred drinking. The next  track goes into a drake/the weekend/swae lee spin off of meeting foreign woman and what it would be like traveling to Canada to meet this one love of my life. Track 5 titled Bay - is a description of a nostalgic late night at the beach, seeing the view and drinking some Champaign or wine and just starring into this beautiful majestic woman's eyes as the night continues, but as the song goes on I realize that she ain't as innocent as she seems. Song number 6 titled Dear Ryan Tala, is a song dedication to my father rip, and me rapping, is an interpretation of him talking to me and how happy he is for me being able to make music and although some point he was vacant in my life, he was always there. The second verse is very emotional and in-depth because he is talking and describing the last day on earth that he had and explaining everyone who was around the bed , how he was feeling, what was going through his mind, he's deceased father calling him and taking his hand and other's who also passed away are telling him that its time to go. He was also asking me why am I drinking so much, this was the year I thought I had an alcohol addiction because I was depressed this song was produced by Dmitri Williams. Song 7, is Money & Power describing greed and evil and how society treats us from the bottom and hard the money affects ideas and ambitions. Song 8 , is part 2 of Zanny but at a different party , a wild one and one where i'm just mobbing tryna have some good time. LIT is song number 9 this was produced by Lamont this song was just to pay homage to my homies and how we were moving back in that year we were in collage and going to so many parties and there are so many stories about those nights these are just small depictions. song 10 is just how determined I am to get Cash and how to determined I am to just make myself known in the music industry. ALL SONGS ARE RAW AND UNCUT a lot of these beats and the engineering was done by myself and in this year my stage name was KingRuger.

Chapter One ( freestyle )

A South African rapper/songwriter/saxophonist & producer with a deep sense of both dark atmospheric melodies & soulful elements. 
He has found a way to tap into sound, combining jazz, hip hop, neo soul, r & b as well as conscious story telling rap. Born on the 10th of October 1997, this artist started rapping at the age of 14. 
Inspired by the likes of Travis $cott, Kanye West, Tyler the creator, Stevie Wonder & Michael Jackson, he decided to pursue music as a career. Growing up, he listened to a lot of Jazz, 80’s, Classical & Soul it was then when King Ruger decided to venture into playing the Saxophone and at that same time he was rapping and writing lyrics, trying to figure out the art of creating a new sound. The artist’s first single released, Badmon ft Trvp Morpheus has a dark knight element to it with deep sounds of drill and hard hitting 808s. 
King Ruger is also popularly known as King Sways, the meaning to it is personal growth and believing in yourself. 
King Ruger’s main goal is creating new sounds and pushing the boundaries of music, connecting and creating with various artist’s and inspiring the youth and giving them a platform to learn, gain and create ground-breaking genres.
