"Hunter" is a song about leaning into the fantasy of swooping someone’s GF/BF who you’ve been friends but also wanting more from for a while. It’s acknowledging that you know it’s fucked up, but that jealous part of you is winning and you just don’t care. You’ll do anything to get what you want.
