The Zion Messengers started out as a group of young men ranging in age 20-30 that was brought up in the church, and was determined never to leave their foundation. Their Christian backgrounds are a combination of Pentecostal and Baptist. They were inspired by and learned from some of the greatest quartet groups known to man. Feeling led to share the message of Zion, they decided to come together and use their gifts of writing, arranging, and singing to continue the uplifting and building of God's Kingdom.

The group originated in 2012 under the leadership of Charles “Uncle Chucc” Hamilton. Their style is a contemporary Gospel Quartet with a jazz and R&B flavor, and their combined talents corporate all genres of music into quartet. 

They have shared the stage with gospel greats such as Doc McKenzie & The Hi-Lites, Judah of Rochester NY, Apostle Randy Walker & Appointed Time, and more.
In 2013, they were blessed to accomplish 2nd place in the Exclesisa Annual Showcase Extravaganza as Best New Quartet Group.

As time and change occurred, the group transitioned to an even higher spiritual elevation, the Lord added a sweet spirited vocalist by the name of Sister Geneah Kirkwood, to blend her stellar voice which complimented the already harmonizing sound.
