Welcome to the next discussion of the Marine Women’s Initiative Team.  For those of you unfamiliar with our group we are a grassroots organization of women – and men! - who seek to improve the recruitment, retention, and employment of women in the Marine Corps.

Tonight’s discussion is with Retired Marine LtCol Beth Wolny, who served in the now-closed office Marine Corps Force Innovation Office, or MCFIO, which originally handled the first stages of female integration in the Marine Corps.  LtCol Wolny pens a blog titled “Breaking into the Brotherhood:  Women, Combat and the United States Marine Corps” about the lessons she learned during the initial stages of gender integration and tonight’s she’s here to discuss them.
