Recorded live in 2010 at the Burning Man festival, which takes place in the middle of the Black Rock desert.  Performances included those through a makeshift sound system powered by a 50 pound battery pack, which Dixon dragged by hand on a wagon through the dust.  Imagine the CD case you are now holding covered in sand.

The first time I participated in Burning Man was in 2005, and it was life-changing for me in many ways.  One of these was musically, in that the event encouraged me to express myself, my true self, and for the first time I tried to create my own music, improvising from my heart, rather than reading the sheet music of others.  When I realized that I could deeply connect with others through my own music, it profoundly affected me, and I thereafter changed my life priorities to allow more room for music in my life. What had been a hobby was now a passion, and I haven't stopped since!

Every sound you hear was created with one violin, live. Nothing was pre-recorded, and very little edited in order to preserve the original sound as heard live.

After a weekend where Dixon's Violin and I played two festivals together, with back to back sets at each festival, a yoga fest, and ET fest.... I contacted him about making a track. This is the manifestation of a truly spirit orchestrated connection. Kaia Ra is a profound spiritual teacher from California, who is deeply connected and in tune. All of her teachings are in alignment with my experiences and she is a true visionary and i was honored to work with her! Check both of their pages!!!

Divine Orchestration feat. Dixon's Violin + Kaia Ra

Back to reality, my thoughts remain in the dust.. what a burn! Thanks to all the people who danced at the Lighthouse, we had the time of our life playing for all of you.

So this is the first of two of my sets I recorded at the lighthouse at AfrikaBurn this year. It’s a very eclectic mix exploring the connections of house, disco, acid and downtempo music. I started off at around 118 bpm coming down to 90 bpm at one point. It’s not a set that I would usually play in a nightclub. There are a lot of changes and historical references in it, references to last years burn, to cosmic dancefloor moments that changed my life.. In my opinion AfrikaBurn is a place that asks for such special, emotional sets. Stuff that you can only play once a year, but ahhh how I love to play all these old gems..

This my second set and last upload from AfrikaBurn. Its the Set that i played after the burn of the lighthouse on Sunday night with some minor changes. A very special and fulfilling night. I love these moments on a dancefloor when its not about hands up, when the people in the crowd are dancing towards their inner self, dreaming, aware, eyes closed.. and even more connected to each other.

Thank you again, all burners, dancers of the lighthouse, for this wonderful week with so much energy. It took me almost two weeks to come back to the outer, so called 'real' world and now I realise what an amazing time we had.

You can listen to this while meditating, taking lsd, making yoga or love.. its a trippy mix with many layers of soundscapes and texture, references and some mistakes, haha.

Be Svendsen gets set to release the enchanting Twilight in Tankwa on Rebellion following his successful remix of NU’s Man O To on sister label Crosstown Rebels. Remix treatment comes courtesy of Berlin native Nico Stojan. 

Twilight in Tankwa is a mystical and musical journey that Be Svendsen explains “is the result of decades long intimate relationship with outdoor rhythmic dance experience. The foundation of the track is rooted in a synth hook from the early 50's. The vocal, inspired by a barbershop quartet, work to give it the character of a true desert hymn."

The remix comes from Nico Stojan who twists a fresh melody into the original over driving undertones. Having honed his musical style as resident at the infamous Bar25 in Berlin, he has also released on labels like Highgrade, Connaisseur and Upon You records.

Equally alluring, second original track Scarecrow was brought about by AYAWAKE who wrote and recorded the vocals. He generously passed on to Be who honored it as the crown work of his cowboy-tech-tribute to the Ennio Morricone soundtracks of the late 60's. 
Be Svendsen aka Lasse Bruhn Svendsen broke through into the international scene in 2014 with a series of productions and enchanting live performances at some of the most avant garde places to play on the earth, such as BOOM festival, Fusion, Burning Man, Symbiosis, Rainbow Serpent and AfrikaBurn.

This week at Afrikaburn is hard to put into words.. so many new friends, unforgettable moments and great music.. It really is more of an experience than a festival.
I will never forget those magical days in the desert - Thank you to the whole Hauptbahnhof Family for being such amazing human beings <3

This is the set I played on Saturday evening for sunset at our little station.. and as so often at Afrikaburn, things turned out a little different than expected. In the second half of my set, a fireranger came up to the DJ-booth and told me to stop the music because of a silent burn that was going to happen at the Temple of Gratitude. But although the set isn't "finished" as it was intended, I still wanted to share those 100 minutes with you. I hope you enjoy!

A Sunset at AfrikaBurn - Hauptbahnhof 2017

Hey Burners,

this year was a tough one. A lot of people got sick.. less art but many big soundsystems and stages loaded with masculin energy. In my opinion most of them failed to really create a vibe, to bring in some love. The whole burn seemed like a proper full on rave. Why does it always need to be so big? Why so over-ambitious? Make it small, cosy, welcoming with a soul.. The music was very forward, bigroom, techno or trance heavy. Not so inspiring to me. I dont think ill be back in Tankwa anytime soon. So this is also a bit of goodbye music for all these wonderful souls that we’ve met onto this big journey that started here with a lighthouse over two years ago. Its a compilation of the tracks that i’ve played at my gigs this year, mostly the owl on friday and hauptbahnhof on tuesday.

Afrikaburn 2017 - Welcome Home Stranger

I have no words for the feeling that night at at Afrika Burn gave me. A deep gratitude overcame me when I realized what the dance floor had been evolving to during the set and a profund tribal feeling overcame me when I saw what is possible to create when people work together with a similar vision of creativity and love. The Spirit Train and Hauptbahnhof Crew are the people that brought me to AfrikaBurn for the first time last year, thank you millions of times for giving me that honor to perform again for you guys and the brilliant idea of connecting both sound systems together. I had again the best gig of my life (to me)at  the best party in the world I could ever have imagined.;) Thank you!!!

Klezmer, Balkan, Hip hop Yiddish fusion, Released in 2008 it is a remix of a track recorded by Rus Nerwich for his album "Beyond the Walls" an unprecedented exploration of music from the Holocaust Ghettos and camps. This  track features a Lithuanian Holocaust survivor rapping in Yiddish. The track was released on an album titled "Under the Poetree" in 2008.
