In Akumu each track starts out with shifting re-samples from mixed genres that build to contrasting break-core drops. Ancient Origin shows technical growth with more complete song structure, flowing bass elements, and rapid cluster tempos. This album has a unique humor created by the drops that develops more as the album continues.

Bôa es una banda de rock formada en Londres en 1993, conformada por Steve Rodgers, Alex Caird, Lee Sullivan y Jasmine Rodgers. Bôa perfecciono sus presentaciones a lo largo de todo el sur de Inglaterra y en 1996, aceptaron firmar con una disquera japonesa, Polystar. Aunque el álbum fue grabado y producido en Inglaterra, Jasmine y Steve viajaron a Japón en 1998 para promover su álbum debut "Race of a Thousand Camels", que fue lanzado solo en ese país. Su primer single, "Duvet", se utilizo como la canción principal de una nueva serie de anime llamada «Serial Experiments Lain».
