The Day EP is the first of a concept trilogy of EPs, and is the first release by Moon Island. The album was created between 2020 and 2022, during the pandemic, with the producers working remotely. This first EP of the trilogy represents the beauty and exhilaration of sunset, and the youthful exhilaration of going out for the night to hear music. The next two EPs will take you through the night, and into the next day and beyond. Day, Night, Day Etc…  is a story of cycles, such as time and life, through sound.

Day etc. is the final ep of an ep trilogy. which are our first releases.  The three eps, Day, Night, and Day etc. are parts of a larger concept album.  We separated them so the listener can get to know each the distinct mood and style of each ep.  Now that they are all released, we hope you will listen to them all.  They elude to the passing of time and the cycle of life, as well as the anticipation before, jubilation during, and let down after of night out listening to music. Here’s an intro to a moon island set we played at the roll up festival. We establish our island side with a reggae intro and interlude, and span the bass galaxy from left field, to downtempo, electro soul, to dubstep, and back to our melodic trap roots.
