Feel like closing my eyes and pretending Im undr the sky

i tried recording fireworks with my h2n but being inexperienced at the time i had the mic gain too high >.<

Fireworks recorded from my apartment, Montreal, on 2011/07/27.

Recorded with a Zoom H4n (wide pattern setting, kind of like a wide angle lens, but for sound), 16 bit stereo WAV format, 44,1 kHz sampling rate.

P.S. The picture may be misleading, my home does not offer a view of the marina ; )

A dumpster truck doing it's thing on a Montreal residential street, on August 25, 2015.

At exactly 03 min, 43 sec, 01425 samples there is a cut I made.

I did it to remove my talking about the recording, saying I'm lowering the rec level because I'm worried it will peak. (In this case it came nowhere near peaking as the bulk of the loud stuff was over, but I could not have known that ahead of time.) So besides removing that section of audio I also increased the amplitude (volume) of what follows by something around 4dB, to try to get it back approximately at the same amplitude it was before I lowered the level.

I do not hear the cut, nor can I see it on the graphic representation in my audio program.  I would be very curious to know if anyone can hear it, or learn anything about software that is designed to recognize that kind or other kinds of alterations to audio tracks.  Leave me a message if you know about that stuff please.  I'd just like a few pointers for doing my own research on the topic.  If it involves advanced math, which I think is likely, I only got to beginning calculus in school, so some stuff I understand the principles involved but I can't do the math.

OK, this is the official re-opening of this account which was suspended by Soundcloud, all traces of it including playlists erased from the platform.
I just got the ability to send messages a couple of hours ago.  Now I apparently have the ability to edit my profile page.  Nice.

The second account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] I created to
replace this one has been plagued with problems since the beginning.  I could never access my "Settings" page, or write comments anywhere, not even here on my profile page.  I got problems with a G-Mail account also as a result of all this. This monstrous mess was, it turned out, a result of SC flagging my account as a SPAM account, this one, by error!  I'm paying for it now.

It is worth mentioning that I've been using this account [https://soundcloud.com/user-957729823] for at least five years now, so it is a bit surprising that their system has confused it with a SPAM account.
