There is little overlap between them, mostly between: *

* Increasingly there is some overlap between "Calm & Steady" and "Funky-Dub-Trap", and between a bunch of others (Dark, Minimal, ...). I'm trying to keep it to the minimum, the overlap, tracks finding themselves in more than one playlist. I don't think I'm very good at it.

Three recommendations for entertainment in this cheery epoch, excluding dancing and music, for a change ; )

»- The Grapes of Wrath (novel, John Steinbeck, USA, 1939)
- - An excellent film was made of it in the 1950s, B&W.
- - Forced migration of ordinary people, American farming families going West in search for land or work, facing the effect of the Great Depression and of severe sequential droughts in the Midwest that came to be known as the Dust Bowl.

»- Come and See (film, Elem Klimov, Russia, 1985)
- - Takes place during World War II in Belarus, german occupation, following a young boy trying to join the resistance.  For a war film this is true art, it's about human beings, not about canons and grenades.  It is quite violent, like war is.
- - It is very interesting that Vladimir and his buddies have been recently accusing the Ukrainians of being Nazis.  The Ukrainians fought the Wehrmacht and SS machines in WWII and payed dearly for it, just like the Russians did.

»- Les Bienveillantes (novel, Jonathan Littel, France, 2006)
- - Takes place during World War II, following an homosexual SS officer involved in the efforts to exterminate the Jews of Europe, among others.
- - The author, a Franco-American living in France, spent a year and a half doing research for his book, and then spent another five years writing it.  It is monumental, but perhaps not for everyone.  Original in French.

I don't want to use the SC devices (reposts, likes, comments) as a medium of exchange, as currency.  It will make no difference how much you like or repost or comment my field recordings, despite the fact that it may seem that way.  The only advantage you get is my attention when you do anything that shows up on my screen, so I will almost certainly click where needed and listen, and do whatever inspires me at that moment : )

I care more about what you do with the playlists, or how you feel about them than with the field recordings, which are here simply as "bonbons" for people who like to use these type of sounds in their music.

All my field recordings (except for when I record a person) are public, freely downloadable by anyone who is able to click on the button.  I encourage anyone interested to use them in any way whatsoever, on purpose or accidentally. No need for permissions or credits or any other kind  of administrative manoeuver.
