Two years ago, people were shrugging their shoulders or outright laughing at jump up drum&bass producers. It’s now 2019 and they rule the dancefloor with sound experimentation that is taking drum&bass into territories unknown and is landing them in record boxes and usb’s of the biggest acts out there. One of the people riding that wave is Tsuki. Dividing his time between straight up dancefloor bangers and tracks that explore anything and everything around it, he has had some smash hits in the past year and is currently producing a set of tracks that will blow minds across the board. So before he gets picked up by Critical or Noisia, he’s dropping 'Control', a classic wobbler on Rampage Recordings, ahead of his solo performance at Rampage Open Air on July 27th.

It sure has been a long time coming, but the time has finally come for the legendary Hybrid Theory to launch their own self-titled imprint, giving them the opportunity to showcase the best of their now extensive catalogue. As one of the most decorated outfits in UK bass music, it is most certainly an exciting time to be involved with the Hybrid Theory sound, kicking off with an absolutely killer debut release.

To launch the new label, the duo have assembled a pair of powerful original creations for us all to enjoy, focussing in on modernized bass music themes and dancefloor-ready rhythms. 

The title track rolls out first, which takes the name ‘Take Flight’, alongside the high energy vocal displays of SG, an MC whose party-starting vibes provide an excellent assist. This one is dripping in smartly designed synth riffs and smoothened drum slaps, rendering it a real lift off riddim. 

On the flip-side we are introduced to another scorcher as ‘Gotti’ lands with another bag-full of rave energy. This one takes us down a more distorted path, driven by it’s choppy yet thoroughly energetic drum arrangements, topped with a pair of grizzly synthesizer displays, giving us the perfect balance. These are two must haves for any basshead!
