A while ago someone very small and very dear to me had a terrifying heart operation. In the 4 desperate days in which I waited for news I wrote this song, and while I waited I piled on the psychotic stuff as the only way I could deal with the anxiety. It's kind of a plea for her safety. I'm very happy to say she made it :)

Back in the 80s and 90s I was a successful freelance sound engineer (recording and mixing): my credits include

I was lucky enough to be trained in an excellent studio which had a steady influx of interesting projects, and then to work in a wide range of genres which covered a good chunk of the globe - from crunchy UK Soul to South Africa, Peru, the USA, and African or Asian artists based in France and the UK.

I've been involved in music one way or another all my life, having studied classical piano as a kid, worked in music publishing, then as a freelance sound engineer, before moving into production. 

I left London for a remote corner of Tuscany in 2004, after completing my album Strange Blue Breakfast (available on iTunes). Here I took a 12-year sabatical. After concentrating on rural and environmental matters, I've come back to music refreshed and  re-inspired.

I have a Logic-based home studio from where I work online, with a great library of sounds to add to fresh audio material.
