On The Road

‘Like This Before’ is the new single by London-based musician, composer and producer Muca and singer Celeste Caramanna, bringing the bossa vibes to a completely refreshed and contemporary approach. 

The track features one of the only remaining living legends and pioneers of the Bossa Nova, Mr Roberto Menescal, who plays his infamous acoustic guitars on the track. Muca flew to Rio specifically to record with Menescal. 

Once the recordings were done, Muca handpicked the right singer for the song. The only name that came to mind was Celeste.

Making the decision was easy; Muca saw Celeste for the first time the night he met Menescal at Pizza Live Express Live in London, Celeste made a special appearance with Menescal and sang a track with him. Both Muca and Menescal agreed that could only be one name and vocals for this track.  Celeste then worked on the lyrics and recorded the vocals with Muca in London. 

The results were special. This new Bossa approach and the combination of Celeste’s beautiful voice, unique performance and groove from Roberto sits beautifully behind the melody, and Celeste’s performance, together with Muca’s fine skill of fusing the old and new, was the recipe for this fresh and unique piece of music.

I had the honor of doing a remix for Muca and the legendary brazilian bossa-nova guitarist Roberto Menescal for their track "Like This Before" !

Really happy to have this one as the first release of the year. Had lots of fun working on this remix and would like to thank all the people who have been supporting my sound for so long :)
