A selection of unheard tracks by argentine cult proto-industrial band Quum, recorded between the years 2012/2014.

Formed in 1978, Quum is an argentine group (currently consisting of brothers and founders members Gustavo and Daniel Gatti) that offers hypnotic and rhythmical improvisations in the language of experimental electronics, with a great participation of randomness, risk and uncertainty. Their music is inspired by science fiction, Zen Buddhism, chaos theory, ecology, the UFO phenomenon and the wabi-sabi concept.

Some kind of dirty ambient, cybernetik trance and organic industrial music.

@chicoterror is a DJ and producer born in Argentina, now based in Spain. Believing in electronic music's power to create community, he has founded several collectives, including Argentina's Witches and KIDZ, the latter supporting the LGBTQI+ community. In Spain, he launched Maquina Total, with five editions in Barcelona, including one at RAZZMATAZZ, and Silencio Locx, an LGBTQI+ collective in Madrid's Ballesta Club. He headlines European clubs like MOOG (Barcelona) and Sameheads (Berlin) and is a bi-weekly resident at Serendipia in STARDUST (Madrid). You can hear his sets on Kiosk Radio (Brussels) and Operator Radio (Rotterdam), and he is a resident of the label UNUSUAL SYSTEMS. 

According to him, “As a DJ, I am a curator of an eclectic mix of sounds that retain a vivid image of the roots of electronic music in the 90s. I fuse genres including techno, acid, breaks, and electro, passing through trance, new beat, and bleep.”

Sus selecciones y mezclas estan atravezadas por la sonoridad que proviene de generos y sub generos tales como el Techno, Electro, Breaks, Acid House, New Beat, Trance, entre otros: ".

Disfruta de las entrevistas sumado a una hora orgánica, pura energía y ritmos, con sets que fusionan los estilos más innovadores y vanguardistas de la música electrónica. 

1. ¿Cómo describirías tu sonido y estilo dentro del underground?
 Diría que está atravesado por la sonoridad que proviene de géneros y sub-géneros tales como el Techno, Electro, Breaks, Acid House, New Beat, Trance, entre otros.
De todas formas, me llegan mucho aquellas producciones donde el genero no está del todo claro, sino mas bien parecieran coexistir distintos géneros en sus bordes.

2. ¿Qué te inspira a crear y seleccionar la música en tus sets?
 El momento tanto de producción como selección de música depende bastante del temple por el cual esté pasando. Es cierta interpelación y dialogo entre los sonidos y distintos tracks lo que me lleva tanto a seleccionarlos/agruparlos como a producir; imágenes, texturas y sobre todo un "dejar ser" el sonido.

3. ¿Cuál es tu proceso para descubrir nueva música y artistas emergentes?
 Si bien tengo un proceso para descubrir nueva música que es acudir a catalogos de disquerias, sellos o artistas que me gustan, creo que no en todo momento estoy apto para recibir lo que estoy o creo estar buscando. Cuando eso pasa no lo fuerzo, descanso el oído y vuelvo a hacerlo cuando esté conectado con lo que está sonando. Eso me parece importante y me lleva a
escuchar distintos géneros constantemente.
