This is my performance of my original song “(Let’s Go to Mars in a) Tinfoil Rocket” from Berklee’s Spring ‘21 Earthapalooza Showcase, the College’s annual Earth Day event. I wrote this song in 2018 and to me, it’s really just about the environment, childhood, and the power of imagination.

   Verse 1
What if all the useless junk had a purpose,
And what if we repurposed it?
The torn-up pieces of half-used paper,
Aluminum wrapping up this morning's breakfast,

An old fishbowl is an astronaut's helmet,

(think of all the) City lights, shining down upon the street,
Working ‘round the clock, in all the globe’s cities,

Needing money they didn’t have, for the things that they never did,
