Everyone has that friend who despite 'life' throwing some really dreadful s*** at you, attempts to snap you out of it and make you carry on. 
Either by encouragement or... the odd insult, it doesn't really matter, their attitude is one of stark defiance to depression and to life being a bit f***** up. I have such a friend. He's a real Hooligan. No really, that's the name he trades his music under. 'Hooligan', and I would like to dedicate this tune to him. I have been 'stuck on the grid' for quite a while and he helped me no end find my musical voice again. Cheers Dude :-)

I’ve gone off on a little tangent with this one. Hope you like it. There is a rumour floating around that I am deliberately writing and producing music to give my listeners speeding tickets, this I can neither confirm or deny.

Don't know where this came from, it just hit me square in the face the moment I sat down at the Midi Keyboard. It poured out of me in a day and that is really, really quick for me. Hope you like it. Again don't listen to this in the car. It's just one of those 'you'll get done for speeding' tracks. If you do, just send the tickets to me. I'll point at them and laugh most heartily ;-)

The first draft of the Soundtrack for the short Science Fiction film 'Ark' by young film maker Cameron Owen. All sorts of influences from the genre going on here. Films like 2001, 2010, Interstellar, Dune, series like The Expanse and Foundation all had an influence on the sound of this one. Hope to have a finished article for this to underwrite soon. This is my first attempt at a proper film soundtrack, and hopefully won't be the last.

For the first time ever I'm offering a second master of one of my tracks purely because the first version was heavy on the bass, which is not usually a problem but with the sheer level of stuff going on in this track, the high bass level meant listening on ear buds was excessively uncomfortable. Normal headphones, fine, ear buds not so much. So here, have an (EB) mix where i've toned everything down a little.

Finally, I'm not going to make excuses for my p*** poor turnout. Life has been pretty hectic and I'm not one who has a 'Pretty Hectic' setting on my metabolism. I seem to spend most of my life recuperating from the previous week which leaves no time at all for music production. It's so not an excuse, I apologise. I will endeavour to post the work i've done over the past year when it's ready and if you are still there listening, you have my eternal gratitude.

The first track I can remember wandering around as a child singing to myself was Games Without Frontiers by Peter Gabriel.
Since then my appreciation for this titan has grown and grown.
He has influenced me more than i can express but this song has always been at the core of my love for his music. 
I can only say thank you for all his brilliant music over the years...
Well that and 'please don't sue' if he's listening to this :-D

I would like to dedicate this album in its entirety to my late mother Mary. She always said that one of the regrets she had in life was that she wasn’t more musical. A lot of my musical appreciation came from her. It was because of that inherited need for music that I ended up doing what I ended up doing. I wanted to understand the mechanics of it, the mathematical balance of it. I very much owe a lot of that to her. Plus of course, it was the piano that she bought that I originally wrote ‘In Retrospect’ on. I hope, where ever she is, that she feels I diminished that regret. She may not have done this herself but she certainly put me on a path to.  Sleep well Mum, miss you always. X

What else can I tell you about this?
When I started recording this it was the first time I had stepped out from under the Aerodeck and Sacred Omega banners.
Didn't know where it would end up but as a project it's come together really well. 
Had a bit of a rush towards the end, the mixing down and arranging bit, as my personal circumstances have dictated that I needed to finish it, and 'finish it now'! purely because I didn't know when I would be able to get another chance.
Life has kicked everything up in the air and under those kind of circumstances you've got to do things while you can.
The long and short of it is that I really don't know when or even if I'm going to be able to start a fresh project. I just hope I will be able to at some point. Or continue with this one come to that. 
I would like to thank all those who have listened, supported and given encouragement to me whilst working on this album. They do take a while to sow together.

As usual, this is best listened to on good headphones as a lot of modern computers and music systems don't really do 'Bass' these days. Mixed using Sennheiser Hd201s. I've enjoyed this so much and it's going to suck not being able to for a while but that is the nature of the world we live in.

The absolute God Father of electronic music. 
Originally on the Albedo 0.39 album from 1974 I think. 
I must have been absolutely insane when I thought 'Hey! lets do a cover of Pulstar' 
I also dropped the key ever so slightly, just to give the 'Dum Dum' extra punch. 
It's not perfect but then again, I'm not Vangelis. You'll also notice it closes with a taster of the album's title track for no other reason than I thought it went well there.

Footnote: 
On subsequent listens to this track I noticed something really quite extraordinary. In the crescendo it overloads the soundscape slightly, there is a lot going on, it’s not surprising.... but it happens in exactly the same place where the original version by Vangelis overloaded.

I am a long time devotee of electronica, from new wave acts like Depeche Mode to more arangement electronica such as Jean-Michel Jarre and Vangelis. Whilst still appreciating a good rock out to acts like Muse, Linkin Park and Audiosoave. It's getting to the point where I'm almost a Soundcloud veteran. This is my third Soundcloud Project. My first was a dance music project called AERODECK and then I had a dystopian 'music noir' political project called 'The Sacred Omega'.
Both available here. 
The Sacred Omega is still ongoing and I hope to record a third Sacred Omega album this year. Results will be posted here.
