Written in March 2021, this song is about recognizing that sometimes the best of times are unplanned. The good and the bad hits you any time, so when times are good, appreciate it.

This song was written on piano but with more emphasis on guitar that other songs of mine. Recorded on a Fender Jaguar, Fender Jazz Bass, Yamaha Motif6, and Baldwin grand piano.

Rick Medlock contacted me after I released our take on “Message In A Bottle” and asked 
if we could do a version with him playing drums. I couldn’t say yes fast enough. So here
is the second version with Rick’s killer drumming!

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well and safe.
Sending out an S.O.S, S.O.S, S.O.S, S.O.S, S.O.S, S.O.S,
that’s a fitting end to 2020! The year of Covid, conspiracy theories, division, death and
a time where lying is the norm. I can’t wait to flush this year down the toilet. 
There is hope for 2021 with a vaccine on the horizon and some new leadership.
Hedd and I started working on this track in 2018. It’s based off of one of Sting’s
live performances of Message In A Bottle made famous by The Police. It was a blast
to do and I hope you all enjoy it! Let us know what you thing and thanks for listening.

Ladies and Gentlemen, a song of unrelenting self pity...a song about a 50+ year old man trying to write songs.

(thankfully the 'lightning strike in the corner of my eye' turned out not to be a detched retina btw...lol)

While last note was still ringing, and the words had left my tongue,
