A while back when Toby was hiring people to help with transcribing music for Deltarune, I had applied. Few weeks later, he replied that he would not be accepting anyone under the age of 18, but I took this opportunity to ask him a question about Undertale's OST. I've always wondered why he has reused Megalovania's melody for Undertale. As you probably know, Megalovania was composed by Toby Fox and originally was intended to be a soundtrack for an Earthbound mod he was creating. He sent me this audio file in response, and told me that the battle song for Sans was originally going to be called "Bonafied Diligence". He then told me about the backstory of MEGALOVANIA, saying that this was the original melody written for the San's genocide route battle. However, after composing this, he felt that it didn't feel 'iconic' enough. Then, that's when he remembered his old melody from Megalovania. He felt that reusing this melody wouldn't be too bad, since it had only been known around the Homestuck and Earthbound community. He had told me since Megalovania was pretty popular within those communities, he wanted to reuse the song because he felt that it had an iconic vibe to it. He also wanted to spread Homestuck and Earthbound's culture this way, as he felt that those communities needed more attention as it was his beloved franchises as a young person.

So to truly boost the hype for this AU, I decided to make a MEGALO for it using the current motifs I have established. For context, Dreemurr's Dogma is a DUSTDUST retake where instead of sans abusing an LV exploit, Flowey exploits the power of the SOULs after being met with countless resets worth of mockery, keeping Frisk underground until he's seeped the world of its lifeforce.  Frisk awakens to a dying world, reduced to deserts and ruins, and in an attempt to put an end to the cycle themself, goes on a pilgrimage to find and confront Asriel, whose taken on the mantle of a dreaded scarlet prince. 

I've had fun working on this take so far, using elements from Soulsborne games and the internet's eldritch figures such as the scarlet king and Zalgo (alongside reclaiming pieces of GLITCHTALE) to make a retake on an AU that has so much potential, and while this isn't particularly "OST" (official soundtrack), I'd say this is still an achievement worth showing everyone.

Honest Opinion on a old situation: I honestly never speak upon the situation other than the people I have with. But I absolutely don't give a fuck if anyone doesn't like if I have elements or use the stuff from Cynical/Xynii's music (That I had always had permission to or was given.). His music was amazing no matter what. The ones that done him dirty, congrats on living in the past, I don't support any of you. So I will be grateful and credit his work unlike some people. I held away but kept my opinion formatted. I watched as those who did him wrong start getting away with all these bad things while the actual friend I care about has gotten help and turned life around with the one person who actually cared while others waited for the moment to ruin his life for no god damn reason.
