About this EP :
Introducing "Madifayou," the vibrant new release from @don-mescal  and Soul of Zoo, featuring the multi-instrumentalist Stephane Salerno. This EP is a tribute to the music of the Tuareg people from North Mali, capturing the essence of their culture and spirit. "Madifayou" transports listeners to the vast desert landscapes of the desert where music is not just a form of expression but a way of life. Stephane Salerno's mastery of various instruments adds depth and authenticity to the sound, creating a truly immersive experience. To add a unique twist, we have invited Mexican artist Badwolf and Ukrainian producer Jean Vayat to create special indie dance remixes. "Madifayou" is a celebration of culture, and a testament to the universal language of music.

Daniel Hokum is back on the “It's Good To Be A Tree” record label with a magical organic house release that has jazz undertones and beautifully sung vocals.

This is the third time that Daniel Hokum has featured on “It's Good To Be A Tree” after previously contributing a track to two of the imprint's compilations, but this time he is back with a solo release. He is a skilled musician that combines intricate musicality with electronic music production to create spellbinding tracks that are awe-inspiring.

In addition to his previous contributions to It's Good To Be A Tree, Daniel Hokum has also released his music via other respected record labels including MONADA, Underyourskin Records, • kosa •, LNDKHN and Serafin Audio.

The release's title track, "Reves Inassouvis," is a majestic composition with emotive vocals and shimmering guitar flutters layered over tense pads and a deep bassline. The captivating groove is augmented by dramatic bursts from a swath of string and wood wind instruments.

Electronic music producer and DJ, Andre P, continues to make waves in the global music scene as one-half of the dynamic duo Andre P & Droomie. Known for his innovative fusion of Electronic and Downtempo sounds, Andre has carved out a distinct space with his releases on renowned labels such as Mónada, Leveldva, Serafin Audio Imprint, Baikal Nomads, Shango Records, trndmsk, and Gazgolder Club, among others.

Hailing from St. Petersburg, Andre’s sound is deeply influenced by his extensive travels. From an early age, he journeyed across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, Indonesia, and India, immersing himself in diverse cultures and sonic landscapes. These experiences have shaped his musical identity, making his productions rich with global textures and vibrant storytelling.

Andre has performed across the globe, including in Russia, Germany, Japan, India, Thailand, Nepal, Israel, Ibiza, and Phangan. He has also held residency at prominent clubs in Bali and Goa, cementing his presence in the international electronic music scene.

His travels and cultural explorations are the foundation of his unique sound—one that transcends borders and genres, offering listeners a multifaceted auditory experience filled with fantastic vibrations and eclectic influences.

Our little label baby is growing and following the compilation premiere in early 2024, it’s finally time for the first EP release on SᑕᕼLEIᑕᕼEᑎᕲ. ‚Instincts‘ comes with two powerful originals from the DeepSpace-producer-duo Friends of Hannes, cherry-topped with two beautiful remixes by talented Crépite legend AiRKA and the maestro of mighty downtempo tunes Nada. Within this EP, all the artists’ individual and diverse signature styles merge into a coherent soundscape between pulsating basslines and hypnotic vibes - somewhat embracing the beauty of the dark just in time while outside the seasons are changing.
