The Story: A girl and a boy meet one summer in the park where they immediately fall in love.  Jokingly they suggest that they'll meet again on this same day but twenty years in the future. Pretty funny, right?
Well now that day has come. What if he was serious? Maybe we really are supposed to meet...... Well, there's only one way to find out, right?
I guess I'm traveling now......

The Song:

Where three rivers flow the winds they’ll guide me.

Bill's Note: True to form Melissa nailed this vocal performance in two takes! The high "classical" sounding parts were mic'd overhead. That type of vocal performance causes a lot of interference with a close mic'd setup due to the volume, mass of air and sound that is moved.
In this recording I tried to emphasize also Will's cymbal work which to me adds to the magical nature of this piece. 
The first seven notes are given to us by Serj Tankian and his "7 Note Challenge". That motif then returns to represent the passage of time. The chord progression is loosely based upon Irving Berlin's "What'll I Do" which really seems fitting considering the subject matter.
The place is "The Point" - a park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where the Allegheny and the Monongahela meet to form the grand Ohio River ...it is a place that I believe is magical and so I created this story.
