Sooko - To Your Health

This is the debut EP by For The Horses, a collaboration between Gabe Lehner (9 Theory) and Becky Gebhardt from the band Raining Jane.  The idea to try creating music together with no expectations of what it should be resulted in these four songs.  The main element tying these all together is a focus on Becky's sitar playing, along with other organic instrumentation supported by lots of fun electronic synth sounds and groovy beats.

Born in Sheffield, England, where I played professionally and taught keyboards from the age of 15 until I moved to San Diego CA to further my music career.  

All the pieces on my page are originals, written, played & programmed by little ol’ me. 

I’m a metal head at heart 🤘🏻❤️🤘🏻but I love pretty much everything as long as it moves me.  I lean heavily towards an ambient, soundtrack style when I write my pieces, and I’m getting more and more into the orchestral side of things every day. I love the many emotions that can be portrayed from a solo piano piece, all the way up to a full orchestration!  

I love to write music that hopefully evokes many feelings, I try to tell stories with my pieces, to take you away from the daily grind, even for just a little while. 

I have played on numerous rock, pop, folk, singer songwriter, instrumental albums, both indie and major label, as well as soundtrack work for independent documentaries. 
I’m available for session and compositional work of any style, and I can easily do this remotely from my home studio. 

I primarily use Logic Pro X, with Arturia & M-Audio keyboard controllers, and I have built quite an extensive collection of virtual (Audio Units) vintage & modern instruments, orchestras, loops & samples! 

So sit back, relax, let your mind slow down for a while & just breathe!
