Disquiet Silence (vocal version) [Disquiet0602]

I extracted two samples from an old track of mine (Tape), lengthened the time, adjusted the equalization and finally mixed them together adding various effects. The basic track was synthesized in csound, the extraction carried out with audacity and finally the mastering with flstudio.

Strange process this one, Originally i was gonna work with https://soundcloud.com/xiiixxi/disquiet-junto-beat-accrual-disquiet0619, converting the piece into harmonic MIDI and inserting a sampler to the signal. But I wasnt happy with the results so I removed the beats and found another of last weeks submissions https://soundcloud.com/grantlucasmuller/broke-beat-disquiet0619, which complimented the strange artifacts the original concept had conjured. To this was added a subtle melodic part, mixed and mastered all in ableton

I went with carles "Disquieting Polyrhythm" for this task!
First take, improvising with SOMA Terra through HOLOGRAM Microcosm.
Listened to the result and proudly realized that it all sounds a little and a little more like Tim Hecker :)

this time I used Ableton to elaborate this musical idea, however the first with this daw, which I find very interesting on a functional level. shame about the workflow, but unlike cubase it is definitely designed for a live environment. as a first experiment not bad, I hope it is the first of a long series.
