A strange bit of music using the Bohlen-Pierce scale, which divides an interval of 3:1 into 13 steps (as opposed to dividing interval of 2:1 like most musical scales). I like the 'otherness' of music in this scale, but I am not sure this piece really does it justice. It mostly just ends up sounding out of tune. Oh well.

Ah Quest for Glory, another classic game series that probobly hardly anyone remembers. I always loved this tune, and wanted to do a version of my own since I was a kid.

Partly written as an experiment in using note delays in OpenMPT to make triplet notes. Ended up reminding me of some of the songs from Arena/Daggerfall.

It's no Megalovania, but I think it's probobly the first attempt at a 'boss' tune I have ever made that ended up being pretty decent.

One day I think, perhaps soon, the dam humans built to cut off their dwimmer will burst and magic and wonder will flood into the world in a mighty deluge, washing away the so called 'reality' that humans think they know. Perhaps it has already started.

First of my attempt to use 31 tone equal temperament to sound just a little bit otherworldly... and because using the same 12 notes all the time is boring anyway. :P

May or may not use it in my game someday, probobly could do with some expanding.

A Witch's House

Another random short little tune. Feels like something from an old DOS game I think. I like it, but I am not sure if it really fits into my game's style.

Also, sometimes I am horrible at names. :P

Thingy

A tune I made for an old project I never really finished. Way way back in the day I sorta wanted to make something like an Ultima Underworld clone. Most progress I made with it was as a half-life mod of all things. I had a basic inventory system and some stat attributes and such, but just when I got that worked out they updated the whole half-life SDK and I never was able to port it to the new version. Maybe someday I will restart the project in Zdoom or something.

Anyway I made a bunch of music long long ago for the project for kicks. I love the music in the Ultima Underworld games so I kinda tried to follow the same kind of style. Don't know if I was very successful, but I like a lot of it. Queen of Coins was also originally made for this project BTW.

This tune is mostly inspired by the 'Prison Tower' theme in Ultima Underworld 2, especially those background chord things. I actually only really added those recently when touching up this tune though. I thought the tune lacked something, and given the inspiration it was the first thing I thought of. XD

Dungeon Blues

The old upload of Dream Forest used a recurring motif I used to use in some music for an old project I never did much with. I decided to replace it with something closer to the motif I use in a lot of Dwimmerdelve music.

I stumbled on this free program called GB Studio a while ago. It's kinda like a version of Game Maker that makes Gameboy roms/games. Yes really.

Not really thinking of doing a project for it or anything but one of the features it has is the ability to import music form mod files, so I thought I would try converting one of my little tunes... Little did I realize what I was getting in to...

You see what I didn't realize at first is how few effects are actually supported. I mean I expected not really being able to use samples, and I know I am spoiled by impulse tracker style instruments with their fancy envelopes, but I expected to at least be able to use stuff like vibrato, and it doesn't support slides of any kind, pinch or volume. But it does support Arpeggio for some reason. Eh? Okay, I know the classic 'c64 style' fake 8-bit chord sound is a classic, but Is it really more important as a core feature then vibrato?

Anyway at least it supports the 'Pattren Break' command. It would be pretty much impossible to do 3/4 time in a mod file without it. And even though it doesn't support volume slides I can still manually set the volume and Open MPT has some nice tools for that.
