Daniel Hafenstein is a young composer from the Milwaukee, WI area. His piece, Four on Four for Timpani Solo was chosen to be part of A Musical Celebration of Tele Lesbines, a memorial concert held at Wisconsin Lutheran College in November of 2016 that celebrated the accomplished timpanist of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. He earned a degree in music education at Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2016, where he studied percussion with James Sewrey and Ben Hans. As a graduate composition student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he has studied with Laura Schwendinger and Leslie Thimmig.
