Nuno dos Santos’ boutique label SoHaSo (shorthand for Something Happening Somewhere; although, sadly the same can no longer be said of Trouw) has been cruising steadily for the best part of two years now, but "Tonii" might just be the best thing committed to wax yet. Love Over Entropy's 12m original is sturdy with bright flourishes throughout, forever climbing and searching without resolve; techy without, y'know, being techy. 

This retouch comes from none other than Innervisions' main man, although  less overtly lovelorn than we've come to expect. He  twists the lead melody into something resembling a steel pan drum, backed by laser-guided synths pinging all around: a festival-sized breakdown held just at the precipice, never fully cresting. Dixon, you big tease.

Tested and hammered in Ibiza during the 2017 closings, the project received the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Solomun, Black Coffee, Danny Tenaglia, or Jean Claude Ades to name a few. The Rebirth remixes are ones of the most ID’d tracks this year, hitting the big rooms and worldwide festivals with the same edge.

Those crowd pleasers are designed for different moments, using that special «  tailor made » infinite hypno-disco loop theme. Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns with the highly anticipated ‘Explorations 08’. This edition plays host to five label debutants, whilst warmly welcoming back Tim Engelhardt and David Hohme.

The compilation opens with the original and instrumental mixes of Tim Engelhardt's and Lazarusman’s eccentric vocal-house track ‘This Life’. Moving from rhythmic claps for swirling synths, next up is Enamour's ‘Ruby’. First heard in the ABGT300 Deep Set, ‘Ruby’ marks an immense label debut for the American producer. Next, David Hohme & Dustin Nantais combine for 'Onward Only’ - a sweet vocal-led track of swelling synths. Closing out the compilation is the tribal ’Native Therapy’, a luxuriant arrangement of jungle sounds and deep subs by debutants Zone+ & M.O.S.
