I coined the name Shampoo-Banana as a teenager in 1969. It is a play on words for the twin cities of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. Oddly I recall that exact moment and place, the driveway of my boyhood home at 701 W. Indiana, Urbana, IL.

I have always loved the Duck Dodgers cartoon, and the idea that a perfectly made-up cartoon character was somehow real because he was playing an actor of another made-up character.
