“snapout”, a Tokyo-based party crew of DJs and Producers, will launch a record label in early 2022.

“snapout” members include veteran DJ yama', who has been DJing since 1998, Takashi Himeoka, who has been making tracks since 2014 and has released on “Phreak” and “Cabaret Recordings” labels, Hisashi, who has played at several regular parties in Tokyo and contributed a track to “How High” label at the end of 2021, and Riku Sugimoto.

For the first single, Riku Sugimoto has created three tracks based on the atmosphere of “snapout”, adopt the essence of Detroit/Dutch techno and Chicago/UK house from the early 90s and early 00s.

Over the last couple of years A:G has gone from strength to strength within our little scene. With releases on Mood waves this year, and a stand out release on EYA a couple years back this man is quickly establishing himself around Europe, and performances at the mighty Hoppetosse only back this statement. His dedication to his craft can also be seen in his own label/podcast Blossy, run by himself and Thorgerdur Johanna. Heyyaa, it's time for the next part of the series. This time we have the pleasure to welcome Parisian label head and selector deluxe - Tom Joyce! 

Tom has graced the French capital with his carefully selected sounds since the early 2000s, a time during which held a residency at the la Java, hosting and playing alongside the likes of LoSoul, Audio Werner, Dario Zenker, Lowtec, XDB and more.

Wind the clock forward 20-ish years and Tom Joyce is still the name to know. Having amassed an impressive portfolio of club gigs across the continent, including Rex Club, Concrete, Tresor and Griessmuehle, Tom has become a household act in the scene.

He is now the label owner of @sounds-benefit-records where he’s developing his own vision of music, spanning the territories of house, techno and electro. S-Max, Alex Picone, Phil Evans, XDB, Kosh and Seuil are a selection of the heavyweights who have helped the label achieve international acclaim.

As a producer, Tom has put out several EPs and featured on a bunch of V/As, focusing on refining his sound and style, bit by bit, note ny note. Playlisted by Craig Richards and Seth Troxler, his productions are dominated by electro-tinged Detroit house and techno, just like his much-appreciated DJ sets.
