I originally put this set together for an event that fell through. The experience was a good reminder of why I do this music thing.  It was never about being on a stage —that’s just a plus and a huge blessing that I never even thought would be a reality two years ago. But I got into this because I love the art & culture of underground music. I love sharing this piece of me with others in hopes that the music makes them feel what I feel. Music saved my life long before I ever even started writing producing or DJing. Music is quite literally how I’ve made most meaningful connections and relationships in my life. It’s honestly wild to think about. I’m SO grateful for everyone who’s ever supported me & held a space for me on this journey.

Welcome to Hydra Radio - a biweekly series showcasing Hydra artists and special guests! Volume XVII features the super talented Meeshroom!  Originally from the Santa Cruz mountains, Meeshroom is an electronic music producer and DJ now based in Lake Tahoe. Meesh’s sets range from experimental bass to drum and bass to 140 deep dub and more. Her sound is influenced by her love for witchcraft, fantasy and horror movies. Her vision is to channel profound and heartfelt moments by creating an ethereal space of dark and light with sound.
