The fugal subject from Bach's Fugue #2 in C Minor (from the Well-Tempered Clavichord) here gets a Frippertronics-style looping workout, with the initial section being dry and unprocessed, and the back half featuring a FuzzFace overlay with some touch-wah for extra weirdness. Hope you enjoy (assuming this sort of thing is your cup of tea, LOL).

Frippertronic Bass: The Well-Tempered Loop (in C Minor)

This is my first experimental composition using several tools.

The workflow sequence was:

1. Ideas in Excel - basic note values
2. Transfer to MuseScore and do further editing there
3. Send Midi to Logic Pro X
4. Modify regions and instruments in Logic
5. Finally Bounce to MP3 and WAV files

I may revise this - one improvement would be to fade out the final section - as currently it's too loud.

Symphonic Dances - Sergei Rachmaninoff (BBCSO DISCOVER)

This should be a piece for a string quartet. In some renditions it sounds quite like a string quartet. I did one using LMMS which starts off well, but the file is truncated so the ending is missing.

This one should be complete, but the virtual instruments used sound more like a string orchestra - not really quite the effect intended. Also the mix in the final section is not right - there should be an audible high violin, but quiet. I don't think the effect works here.

Some of the inspiration - if you can call it that - for this comes from one of Beethoven's Rasumovsky quartets. I should go back to the score and see if I can rework it sometime.
